April 29, 2012 Addy's cheezers, kaylie's clothes, and alayna's learning

So Addy just learned how to cheeze at the camera.  I have had a hard time getting her to look at the camera the last few weeks, and finally she's looking at the camera and cheezing!  She also took her record of 4 steps today in church.  She mainly takes the steps when she's not paying attention to the fact that she's standing, and paying attention to her toy.

Kaylie has been putting on clothes under her clothes.  She is pretending she is wearing garments like mommy and daddy.  I get a kick out of how cute it is.  I don't take it as sac-religious because she is little and innocent and it shows her desire to get them in the future.

If I write about those two, then I must write about Alayna also.  She is starting to ready pretty well.  She can do basic addition and subtraction with numbers 0-10.  We are working on her to tell time with numbers.  She tries to write in cursive, which ends up with lots of loops.  She has changed from riding her little bike with no training wheels to her big bike without training wheels.  This way Kaylie can ride a bike with wheels.  Alayna has also been riding her bike to school.  Since the kindergarteners have a gate around their playground and entrance to school, they will park their bikes in this locked gate.  There are adults who open the gate and then lock it after class starts.  She's loving riding her bike to school.

I had 2 plants pop out of the ground that I planted from bulbs (one star gazer lily and one gladeola).  I am excited!

April 8, 2012 easter and seth's birthday.

So Alayna woke up, went down stairs saw (without going through it) what the easter bunny brought, then went and turned on the tv to watch it.  It was nice that she wanted to let us sleep, but I was sad to have missed her face when she saw her dress.

We got her when she was going to the bathroom.  She started telling us what she, kaylie and addy got.  Then starting telling us about all the eggs she had found.  At least she left the eggs in their places.  We told her that she had to be surprised for the video of the girlies coming down stairs.

Alayna and Kaylie got the same things except Kaylie got chalk for her chalkboard too.  They got a dress each, a coloring book, twist crayons, a bubble gun, a bag of cadbury eggs, slinky the dog off toystory candy container that had hard pieces of candy in it (addy got one too so she could shake it like a rattle), a container of chips, a big egg with m&m's, and a chocolate bunny.

Addy got a dress, an outfit, some sandels, a touch and feel book, a sippie cup that has a container that attaches to the bottom for snacks, a multicolored bunny, and a cabbage patch doll that's dressed up like a bunny.  When I showed her that at the store, she got a huge grin on her face and reached out for it.

Seth got a foam firetruck kit to put it together, the same candy as alayna and kaylie (except without the slinky dog, and had skittles instead of m&m's), window crayons, and reese eggs.  I got the same candy as the girls minus the slinky, butterfinger eggs, a swimming suit (no pressure sitting next to the candy) and a swimming suit cover, window markers and extra bubbles for the girls.  Of course the window markers and crayons and the bubbles are the girls, but it had to look like seth and I got more than what we did.

For Seth's birthday, he got some cross fit shoes (which are in the mail) and I made him a chocolate mousse "cake".  By the time that was done (I started it late and we have afternoon church), I was the only one singing to him while he blew out the candles.  We then drilled on some sandy info like their motto and values and such to prepare for the interview for tomarrow.  I swear, my fingers are going to turn blue from crossing them soo hard!  I want him to be happy/excited with his job and in a better atmosphere then the prison, and I want him home more often.

April 7, 2012 Alayna's birthday

Today is Alayna's 6th birthday!  I can't believe it!  She is getting soo big!  Today we did an easter egg hunt with the Sandy firedepartment.  Turns out that the Chief worked with my grandpa and his brother and said that he had a lot of fun with them.  He told me to tell my grandpa that Rosey says hi.  He is now Chief Rosey in my mind.

When we were talking to him, he asked Seth how he liked working up there.  Seth of course said that he loves it.  Chief then asked seth, 'what can we do for you?'  I couldn't help but blurt out 'hire him'.  He laughed.  We were joking and laughing around anyway.  I don't know if I should be embarrassed or not, but he asked.  Seth interviews with him on monday (9th) anyway.

After the egg hunt, we made a small trip to walmart to get diapers, wipes, formula and bottle, since we completely forgot the diaper bag.  This actually came in handy so we could let Alayna pick out her birthday present.  She's soo funny because even when she picks them out, we still have to go home, hide them from her and wrap them so she can open them.  Good thing we got the baby essentials because when she saw the bottle she went nuts and was ready for it.  Let's just say within minutes we needed those diapers...Anyway, we were going to take Alayna to the mayan, but apparently it's closed, and under construction so Jordan commons can expand and become bigger.  So Alayna said she wanted Chinese food.  She even turned down chuck-e-cheese because she wanted chinese.  So we went to Chinese gourmet.  Addy really liked the mac and cheese.

On the way home, we picked up Alayna's cake.  She got the queen crown and septer cake.  She died over the crown and wand.  She didn't even want to pick a different cake even though I told her I would buy her the crown and wand anyway.  When we ordered it, she wanted chocolate cake soo bad, but the times we get the chocolate cake, she is the only one who really eats it, and it doesn't get finished.  She insisted on the chocolate cake, so I bought the white cake and then a small round choc cake for her.  She ate all the decorative frosting around the cake, and then probably only had a couple bites of the cake.  Soo glad I didn't get the chocolate one!

So for alayna's birthday, she got a barbie that has hair extensions and special scissors that snap the extensions out of her head for a hair cut.  Those extensions are longer than the hair that's attached to it's head.  She also got some clothes for the barbie.  Then from grandma drew she got a hulu-hoop (it was given to her a few days ago on the 3rd).  Grandma gave two, one for alayna, and one for kaylie.  Alayna chose the purple one, and so kaylie got the pink one.  When alayna hulu-hoops she shakes her little bottom.  It's really funny. Kaylie mainly twirls around with it, or rolls it across the floor.  Alayna also got a 100 piece puzzle from her cousin Lexi that has a bunny, guinea pig, and pumpkin on it.

After presents we dyed the easter eggs.  A couple days ago, she came home from her friend Cash's house and said that they were going to kill eggs.  So dying easter eggs and killing easter eggs are the same to her.

That night we went to go miniature golfing and we were going to try out the Lehi location.  Well, there are a whole bunch of little rides there.  Alayna had been wanting to go rock climbing, and there's a wall there!  So that turned out perfect!!  This is the highest she would dare to go.  She would go up, then start to drop down about 10 feet, then decide she wanted to go up again, so she'd hop back onto the wall and start climbing up again.  She did this a few times, then we had to get her down because it was someone else turn.

There's a little frog hop ride, that was Kaylie's first bigger ride, and she laughed the whole time.
Alayna wanted to go on the wall a couple more times, so Kaylie went on this ride over and over.  She kept looking at the bigger kids and would do what ever they were doing or saying to do.

So one whole time, she keep her arms raised above her head!  She's going to love lagoon this year!  We didn't make it last year, so she's only been on little toddler rides.  It's really fun to see the kids this excited!  It was really nice that they all crashed as soon as we got home.  It had been a non stop day!

April 1, 2012 conference and quilt

front
So I was able to sew the binding on this quilt as my conference prodject.  I am surprised I was able to get it done with how the girls were sooo busy this conference.  Alayna and kaylie faught just about the whole time and addy was very busy.  I got alayna to work on her stitchery for a little bit.  I loved conference. It was very inspiring.
