June 21, 2012 Seth's job offer

So a few days ago, (on the 18th,) seth got a phone call from the sandy fire department, wanting Seth to go and meet with the cheif and deputy cheif.  So today he had his meeting.  They offered him a full time fire position!!!  I think saying we are sooooo excited  is the biggest understatement ever!  Now he will be a full time fire fighter with sandy, part time with PG and do some EMT teaching on the side, and yet he will be home way more often!!!  Yay!!  He starts June 6, and has his last 2 weeks left for the prison.  7 shifts and counting.

June 9, 2012 Addy's birthday!!

Today was addy's birthday!  I can't believe she's one.  This year went by way fast!  She loved her cake and litterally frosted herself with her frosting.  Even after her bath she still smelt like frosting.  She is my only one who as dug into her cake.  She got an elephant that shakes/wiggles, a 'chase me' toy kitty, a weeble from Alayna, and a pillow made by grandma drew.  Still a little in twilight zone that my baby is one!

June 3, 2012 addy and the pull up bar

So in the last few days, Addy has learned how to throw fits.  If you take something away, and she's tired, she will scream at you.  Then if you give it back to her, she'll just throw it away from her.  Anyway, so today her attention was brought to the pull up bar.  She just wanted to play with it, which gets tiring since you're holding her in the air.  She would cry when you would put her down. We got a kick out of it that we couldn't help but put her up to the bar where she was instantly giggling, to putting her on the floor where she was instantly crying....ya we did that cycle a few times...

May 23, 2012 Addy walking and even more planting...

Sunday (20th) Addy started walking!!  Sooo weird.  She has walked more today than she has ever put together.  She will walk anywhere betweeen 5-15 steps, fall down, stand back up and continue on.  She is very busy!


On monday (21st) Addy kept going up to Kaylie's bike and standing by it, so I grabbed out red ryder tricycle and lowered the seat and put her on it.  She was somewhat riding it.  More like standing behind the handles, pushing it around with the biggest grin on her face.  So Seth and I sat on the swing and watched our girls ride bikes. (alayna of course was at school)

  We also went swiming at the Legacy Rec center, which was Addy's 1st time swimming.  Sorry no picts.  We were too excited to get there. 
I did however get this one of her later.  In the parking lot walking in, Alayna kept saying "I'm soo excited" over and over again.  When Addy was swimming, her arms were straight, not really moving, with her legs kicking at the same time.  I thought she looked like a frog.

Today, we went up to the prison's case lot sale for their plants.  I was feeling adventurous and bought a more than a few various plants.  They where really good priced and buy one get one free.  Then we stopped by home depot (the store in which I am not allowing myself to go to agian the rest of the year) and bought 2 pink habiscus shrub tress, a peach habiscus plant that I am really excited about.  I also got some purple flowered plants that grow on latice, so I am excited about that too.
   (I really surprised Seth when I showed off my tetris skills and got all the plants and such into the rover.  He thought we were going to have to leave one of us at the store with the stuff while the other went home and unloaded...but no need.)

May 8, 2012 my mothers day present

Today I got my mothers day present early.  I have kept my eyes out for a patio swing for a year now.  Luckily Seth found one at smiths on sale for $99!  Of course they were sold out, so we started calling around to the other stores.  We found one out at Seratoga Springs, so we drove out to get it.  The sale only lasted until tomorrow, and since they had a short supply to begin with, we couldn't resist.
Now that's one more thing off my list.  Now I have to keep my eyes out for a bbq grill.  We had a small propane one, that while at the apartment, got the propane hose chewed up by the other apartments dog. (which shouldn't have been there and they were breaking lease.  It also chewed up the landlords swing set so alayna couldn't play on it, or even out in the back yard anymore.  Let's just say this stupid dog hit a sore spot with me since I was working nights and it constantly rubbed sticks along our wall so I couldn't sleep....)
 So now with the wonderful days of not renting, we will some day have a working propane grill.  I will try to get a good deal for fathers day.  We don't need anything big, just one that works.  We can always replace it in the future with a bigger and better one, but a bigger and better one isn't needed esp not right now.

Anyway, with finding this swing, we also found this little kid bench for $27 and couldn't pass that one up either.  There were only two.  I love it (and so do the kids).  I can't wait until I have my yard where I want it, and to see it unfold.  I have a future project in mind with the area to the side of the house with the wooden fence, where I will eventually put this bench.  But I am not going to think of yard projects until (at least) next year.

May 7, 2012 8th anniversary!

Today I've been married for 8 years!!!  I can't believe it!  There has been a lot of things that have happened in 8 years.  Seth's a fireman/paramedic, I'm a nurse, we have a house, and 3 beautiful girls.  It will be exciting to see where we are in 8 more years!  The sad thing though, is that I worked last night and seth works at the fire department today.  We saw each other for 10 minutes between work in the morning.  He did however get the night off, but since I didn't get much sleep durring the day, I went straight to bed.  We will celebrate later.  Although, I did give Seth enough greif about forgetting to get the day off, that I am sure he truely won't forget again ; )

So my latest prodject I have started is digital scrapbooking.  Here are a few of my first pages.  I am being extra picky starting with the wedding.  My non wedding won't be as picky.  I think it will turn out cute. 

May 5, 2012 garden finally finished, and addy bug

So yesterday, (after taking a break for a week) I finally finished the stone that's laying around the garden beds.  I also got my tomatos, green peppers, carrots, radishes, and yellow zuccini planted.  (I am a little late getting some of the seeds planted.)  I have one more gladeola that popped up!  That's a total of 5 (of my 6) stargazer lillys and 2 (of 6) gladeolas that have popped throught the ground! I am excited to see how well the various plants are doing that we've planted.  I can't wait until they've matured so we can see the full effect. 



Today, Addy has decided to walk.  She is walking around holding onto things, then letting go for a few steps then holding back on again and walking.  She is soo close!  She still gets excited and tries to run and her body goes faster than her feet and she falls.  She usually has her tongue out of her mouth the majority of the time.  This pict was actually taken right before she stood up on that foot, standing up for the first time in the middle of the room by herself.

  Two days ago (the 3rd) we were down stairs.  Then it got quiet and I had to go looking for Addy./  She was in my sewing room, were I had a three full laundry baskets waiting to be folded, and she had climbed into one and was just sitting there.  I luckily got one picture before she climbed back out.  She is turning out to have such a funny personality.  She's soo busy with a lot of

energy.  She will just go, and go and then shut right off and fall asleep.  I know seth use to do it.  It's just funny when seth has her out in the halls in church, (while I am playing the piano in primary,) he'll be talking to someone as she's going.  Then she burrows her head on seth's sholder and is out like a light.  She loves chicken nuggets.  Her record is 2 and a half at one sitting.

Tonight while I was at work, Alayna and Kaylie made a fort with blankets and their bunk beds.  They even slept on the ground in their sleeping bags in the fort!
